Children At Weddings, Missouri Wedding Location

Children at weddings are frequently the focal point at our Missouri wedding location. There are several reasons for this, including brides and grooms who bring children into the marriage.  Some of the most memorable and heartfelt moments at Hermann Hill involve children.  We believe being child friendly emphasizes family and sharing the many experiences that will occur with young and old alike.  To make children feel more welcome and have a better time at your wedding, consider the following:
•    Older adults love to see children at weddings.
•    Officiants must be comfortable with including children in your ceremony.   Hermann Hill Wedding Officiants plan with the bridal couple to have special events like a family unity candle or sand ceremony that make the children feel included.  During our champagne toast, children are often surprised that they also get to share a glass of sparkling grape juice.
•    Flower girls, ring bearers,  junior bride and grooms, and children who perform music during the ceremony all require some rehearsing.  Your wedding coordinator will help keep you on your time line, because even well behaved and rehearsed children get bored waiting for the bride to come out of the bride's room.  Giving them a special job to do prior to the ceremony, like handing out programs, might be a good way to keep them busy.
•    Friends and relatives want to share your marriage with their entire family.  Make sure that your wedding venue has high chairs, booster seats, coloring books, and a helpful staff that are excited about holding a baby while Mom has a few minutes of adult time, whether it’s going to the buffet, or simply visiting with the bridal couple.
