Brides frequently seem surprised by our emphasis on making time lines to fit your vision for ceremony and pre-reception events until after their wedding. Upon reflection, many brides tell us that without such advance planning and a common decision to "stick to the time line", continuous distractions would have caused massive delays in the actual reception start time.
One of the main reasons for a time line is that most brides and grooms decide that they are going out of their way to be gracious to their family and friends who have sacrificed so much in being there for thier wedding. As a result, every request for a little extra "personal time" with these important people quickly results in major time expended that results in a late reception, missed reception planned events, and a general feeling by the bride and groom of "being out of control" or very rushed during the reception.
