Most of us lead very active lives with little "down time" during our waking hours. Multi-tasking has become the norm and cell phones now keep us connected 24/7. Scheduling time alone before your ceremony might seem counterintuitive because it does not fit the image of last minute preparations, wedding party and family drama, and perhaps some pre-ceremony celebrating. When reflecting on their wedding day, brides tell us they particularly valued the scheduled "first glance" or just scheduled "quiet time" together prior to the ceremony. When asked why time alone before the ceremony was important, brides said that it calmed their nerves and made them feel closer as a couple because they got to share their thoughts and feelings with each other before they said their vows. Ask your Wedding Coordinator about scheduling time alone in a scheduled location prior to your ceremony.
